Kodanadu is a hill station located in Nilgiris at an altitude of 2700 mts above mean sea level with a pleasant climate throughout the year. Trek from Kodanadu view point to Thengumarahada is through dense evergreen forest with steep winding footpath. It is a 14 Km trek downhill with scenic and beautiful breath-taking views of the Valley below. Wildlife often sited include, tiger, leopard, bear, gaur, striped hyena, wild dog, spotted deer, sambar deer, black buck, four horned antelope and Nilgiri langur. Herds of Elephants are sited between October and February every year.
One should be physically fit to cover this adventures trek. Avoid children below 14 years of age.
This trek route provides an unforgettable experience for nature loving trekkers.
